The Teen Resource Guide for Aiken County!

Teens are faced with thousands of choices every day. We believe in the rights teens have to make educated choices about their needs. For information on where to refer your teen click here:

Teen Dating Violence

According to the CDC, only 33% of teen dating violence victims will reach out and disclose about their abuse.  This is due to severe barriers that can be overcome with successful intervention.

Barriers to disclosing:

  • Fear of being believed
  • Not recognizing the signs of abuse
  • Unhealthy coping skills
  • Lack of support

Reaching out to get help can be a scary step for teens. They need to understand that they are not alone. Check out our resource section for providers who are willing to listen!
