About

Making choices about where to go for help can be very overwhelming for teens that are not sure what their options are and what they need. Teens will be more likely to seek out a place where they feel comfortable, are able to talk to providers who truly listen to them, and where they leave feeling more confident about their choices than when they walked in the door.

This resource guide was created to give teens a one-stop-shop to teen-friendly services in Aiken County. Listed in this guide are a growing-number of local resources and what services they offer to teens and their families.

What makes services teen friendly?

A place that is teen-friendly meets the following criteria:

  1. Teens feel welcomed when they walk in the door.
  2. Advocates use approachable language that is not confusing for teens.
  3. Advocates are unbiased and open to any questions teens have regarding their health, mental state, and life choices.

How it works

Under the resource tab, teens and advocates will find a listing of local resources. This list includes: location, contact information, and/or hours of operation.
